Earlier this month we said farewell to our beloved Dr. Olivia Surgent, who received her PhD this past December. Olivia will be working as a T32 Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California – Davis MIND Institute with Dr. Christine Wu Nordahl. Her research will focus on the interrelationships between sensory features, anxiety, and the brain in autistic individuals throughout childhood and adolescence. Olivia looks forward to building upon the foundational skills she developed as a member of the Motor and Brain Development Lab. Here she is on her first day of work!
While she will not miss the snowy winters, she will miss the Waisman community dearly. We certainly will miss her as well, and we’re excited hear about all the amazing work she will be doing!
