Kate is a 2013 UW-Madison alumna with her bachelor’s degree in political science, gender & women’s studies, and a certificate in global health. She is now working towards applying for the clinical doctorate of occupational therapy program at UW. Specializing in movement and body awareness as a dance instructor, she is excited to be part of a team that is expanding knowledge on the links between motor abilities, the brain, and development as it applies to ASD! Her favorite part of lab is administering and studying new motor assessments. Kate spends her free time volunteering as a literacy tutor at GiGi’s Playhouse and as an inpatient psychiatry volunteer at UW Hospital. Hiking, camping, and dancing are her favorite hobbies.
