As a native Sconnie and Badger alumni who spent the past 8 years on the east coast, I’m very excited to be back in Madison and at the Waisman Center! I have a background as an English teacher in Beijing, China, preschool teacher in Washington, D.C., and post-baccalaureate research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. I completed my Master’s of Science in education at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in their interdisciplinary studies in human development program in December 2018. My research interests include cognitive and motor development in young children, along with social emotional skills and early childhood education. Outside of work I love to run, travel and explore new restaurants with my husband Will, and play and snuggle with my 1 year old son Frankie and dog Dottie. I’m thrilled to be working on the Brainy Movement Study here in the Motor and Brain Lab!
